Dashenko Adriano Ricardo was born on March 1st 1990 in Willemstad, Curaçao. Ricardo was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Baltimore Orioles in 2007. From 2007 to 2010 he played for various minor-league teams of the Oriole organization.
After the 2010 season, the San Francisco Giants selected Ricardo in the minor-league phase of the Rule 5 draft. He spent two seasons with the Giants organization before getting released and signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers in March 2013. He bounced around in the minors for the Dodgers and got released by the Dodgers in March 2014.
Ricardo later moved to the Netherlands to play in the Dutch Hoofdklasse for Corendon Kinheim in 2014 and 2015 and for Curacao Neptunus in 2016.
After his 3-year stint in the Netherlands, Ricardo signed with the Lincoln Saltdogs of the Independent Baseball League in 2017 and played the 2017 season for the Saltdogs.
Ricardo has also won two gold medals with the Dutch baseball team in 2014 and 2016 at the European Baseball Championship, and was part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Baseball team at he 2013 and 2017 World Baseball Classic.
